Nora Khatib, MD

Dr. Nora Khatib is an ophthalmologist specializing in vitreo-retinal disease and surgery, uveitis, and ocular trauma. She has been practicing in San Diego since 2016. Prior to moving to San Diego, she completed her fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and residency at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. Nora is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her B.A., and a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Khatib is passionate about providing exceptional eye care to the San Diego community.

Dr. Khatib has been involved in NAAMA as a member for several years, beginning when she was in medical school. She continued to participate during her residency and fellowship training and attended several of the national conferences. Seeing the benefit of the organization in connecting Arab American healthcare professionals, she was very motivated to take a leadership position with the local NAAMA chapter after moving to San Diego. Dr. Khatib looks forward to working with the organization to promote education, community service, and cultural awareness.
